National Poetry Day 2003!!

        I see that the day's about Britain
        I don't think it's much of a theme
        so the poem I orter have written
        is still what it was - just a dream.

        I like lots of places in Britain
        there's good things to look at I spose,
        the hills, and the waters that glisten
        and the bits where nobody goes.

        I can't drum up thoughts about Britain
        that make a great sonnet or ode
        so I'll just sit here with me kittens
        and look out on me meadow what's mowed.
