Reflections

It's grand to recall the people you've met
Tho' many have passed, but some may live yet.
You think of their failings, or else of their worth,
And you gather their virtues to help you on Earth.

Some people oft are too proud, to admit
The laugh that they got, was with some others wit.
Often when chided, we don't even say
Well it's taught me a lesson for some other day.

When thinking of someone who may have caused sorrow
Remember the good points, to aid you tomorrow
For hard tho' it be for those of today
It prevents something worse for those on the way.

Gods blessing will rest on the people who try
In remembering people, of days gone by.
Whether virtuous. villainous, pious or plain,
Their actions teach lessons, again and again.

Then look for the good as you go on through life
Twill help you along in these days of strife.
And pleasant will be your time to recall
The pleasure of meeting, friends one and all.

So I pass on these words to those who may read
If it helps one at all , I have done my good deed.
And now ere I pick up my little pen wiper
Forget not the words of a Stereotyper.
